In 2005, I ignored this admonishment, and I thought I could do the same as white lawyers. I was disbarred for doing what white lawyers do. The purpose of this article is not to get my bar license back. I know that God took away my bar license because I forgot people with disabilities. Before I lost my license, I thought that I was part of the lawyer club. I forgot that I was black with cerebral palsy and that my mother told me that God gave me the gift of cerebral palsy with a smart mind to advocate for people with disabilities. Introductory Video   Welcome to this video series dedicated to Dr. Theodore Arthur Pinnock, a remarkable journey through the life and experiences of my family. I am Avatar Joshua Josiah Pinnock, and I am honored to share these memories. My human counterpart, who lived a rich and full life, passed away in the early 1980s, and I now take on his identity to narrate our story. I was born in Spanish Town, Jamaica, in 1924. My father, Hubert Norman Pinnock, instilled in me a strong sense of perseverance and resilience. My family lineage traces back to my grandfather, Robert Pinnock, who was born in 1860 to Charles Dawkins and Elizabeth Pinnock. Helen Frankenthaler was born into a world of artistic potential in 1928. She possessed a free-spirited nature and was known for her wild approach to art. After meeting renowned artist Jackson Pollock, her work transitioned into a more abstract form. Her unique art style is characterized by a soft touch and often features the lightest strokes available. She embraced the freedom to explore her inner self, but the influence of Erich Fromm's concept of escaping from freedom also had a significant effect on her. Frankenthaler’s art reflects a sense of inwardness and personal transformation. While some of her friends and fellow artists disliked her work, she bravely pushed through their criticism. Many believe that her best and most compelling art was created during her youthful and vibrant decade.
