Richard Lee was inspired by Georgia O’Keeffe

 Georgia O’Keeffe was born in the year 1887. From a young age, she always harbored a deep desire to become an artist. She had a strong aversion to copying others, preferring to create no representation that followed conventional norms. O’Keeffe was known for her ability to control her emotions and was fiercely independent in her art and personal life. She held firm beliefs in sexual freedom and explored this theme throughout her work. Although she posed nude, she often embraced a more conservative persona in her public life. Her artwork featured large, abstract flowers crafted with beautiful and vibrant colors, which have captivated viewers for generations. Importantly, she did not want children to focus solely on art; rather, she believed in a broader experience of life. Throughout her life, she developed a mental condition that influenced her perspective. O’Keeffe once stated, “If you worked hard enough, you get almost everything,” highlighting her unwavering commitment to her craft. Despite her success, she shunned the public eye and became increasingly private over the years. Eventually, she lost her sight, and Juan Hamilton became her devoted aid. Today, she is celebrated as one of the most famous female abstract artists, leaving a lasting legacy in the art world.
